Your marriage ceremony is at the heart of your day, and establishes the atmosphere that will carry on into the rest of your day’s celebrations. The words, promises and symbolic actions of a personalised ceremony generate deep feelings, and create memories which will endure a lifetime.
Your marriage is also a legal commitment - one that is recognised worldwide. At some stage you will need to apply for a Marriage Licence and view the very simple legal requirements of a marriage.

MY COMMITMENT TO YOU as your celebrant is to spend as much time as is necessary to create a ceremony that is personalised to your individual experience and expectations. The ceremony I create with you will have your beliefs and values woven through it and will be relevant and meaningful to you. My priority on your wedding day is for you to feel relaxed, incredibly happy and able to enjoy every moment of your ceremony. With a unique ceremony that genuinely reflects your personalities, love, and story, your family and friends will feel a real connection with you as they witness your marriage. |

I LISTEN TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS
with you telling me about yourselves, your relationship and your vision for your wedding day. As well as getting to know you as a couple, I ask you some deeper questions to help me create a ceremony that is personalised and totally 'yours'. Once I have written the ceremony, you have the opportunity to edit it so that you get exactly the ceremony you both want. Alternatively, you can have some (or all!) of the words as a surprise that unfolds on the day.

YOUR VOWS are at the heart of your ceremony. To be legally married you must both say "I, (the groom) take you, (the bride) to be my husband/wife" (or words to that effect). However, your personal vows are your promises to one another and I encourage you to look into your hearts and write these yourselves. While this may seem overwhelming I offer you guidance, and the resource folder I give you has plenty of inspiration in it to help you. Your own personalised vows will create a very special highlight in the ceremony, combining romance, dignity, possibly tears, and maybe laughter. |
A REHEARSAL
at your wedding venue, with your wedding party is an important part of the whole process. You get a feeling of how it will be on the day – and can get over any nervousness or worries. I run through how you will enter, and where everyone will stand - and you get comfortable with standing 'in front'. I offer you a private rehearsal of your vows so that they are kept private until the actual moment of your marriage. If it is inappropriate to hold a rehearsal at the venue, we can easily organise an alternative.

ON YOUR WEDDING DAY my experience and friendly manner will enable you to be calm, relaxed and 'present in the moment'. I am deeply honoured to be your marriage celebrant and I take great care to present myself in a professional manner and ensure that everything runs smoothly. I do not rush from one wedding to the next, but give you my very best attention. I dress appropriately for the style of your wedding, and deliver your ceremony in a very personal manner, engaging easily with both you and your guests. You will receive a bound parchment copy of your ceremony to reflect on in the following weeks, and also a handmade certificate of your vows, to treasure with your memories of your special day. |
